How I Pray Over My Network Marketing Business (and How YOU Can Too)!
When I sat down to pray over my business, I was so concerned with doing it right, it would paralyze me. I wished I had somebody to show me the way.
So, I’m going to share what I’ve learned.
The bible tells us to "pray without ceasing" (1 Thes. 5:17) and Jesus gives us example after example of prayer.
He was continually in a prayer mode.
He is shown to pray: alone (Mt 14:23)(Mk 1:35)(Lk 9:18)(Lk 22:39-41).
He is shown to pray: in public (Jn 11:41-42)(Jn 12:27-30)
He is shown praying before meals (Mt 26:26)(Mk 8:6)(Lk 24:30)(Jn 6:11),
He is shown praying before important decisions (Lk 6:12-13),
He is shown praying before healing (Mk 7:34-35)
He is shown praying after healing (Lk 5:16),
He is shown praying to do the Father's will (Mt 26:36-44)
Jesus also taught about the importance of prayer (Mt 21:22)(Mk 11:24-26)(Mt 7:7-11)(Lk 11:9-13)(Jn 14:13-14)(Jn 15:7,16)(Jn 16:23-24)(Mt 5:44)(Lk 6:27-28)(Mt 6:5-15)
So, how in the world do you pray effectively for your business?
The reality is, God already knows your heart so there is NO NEED to try to be something you aren’t. Speak from the heart in a way that you normally speak. This will help you feel more comfortable rather than using language you would never use.
Prayer is also more about dialogue than it is about speaking. Make sure you have time to listen. God wants to speak to you and spend time with you so make time for him. But don’t stress over the perfect set up. He hears you where you are.
Here are FOUR things to keep in mind:
Start with PRAISE for who he is and what he has done.
Next REPENT of any sins or yuck in your life.
ASK for needs of others and your needs.
Then wrap it up with YIELDING your will to God’s will.
