Without VISION ...

WITHOUT VISION YOUR BUSINESS WILL SUFFER_JT BLOG HEADER.png

… your network marketing business will suffer.

Think of it like this, if you don’t know where you’re going, how will you get there? Or worse yet, what if you get there and it’s the wrong place with the wrong people?

That’s what happened to me. I started my business to get out of the dog eat dog of corporate America and guess what I did? I built what I knew, which was corporate America. My culture was off, my leadership was a mess which meant my team was suffering. That isn’t what I wanted or what I set out to build but it sure is what I did. I jumped in and started running without thinking about where I was going or what I was doing. Talk about a bummer. Action is great and you need to take action to build a business but taking the wrong action cost me A LOT of time and effort that I could have avoided if I would have simply done some upfront planning and strategy to gain clarity.

To get back on track, I took a step back and created a VISION, a MISSION and figured out my company’s VALUES. I want to share how you can do the same. So, let’s dive in.

The Bible tells us that without a vision the people will perish and that sounds awful to me. I don’t want any of my people to perish. I want them to live their best life and do their best work.

VISION

A vision is all about why your organization or company exists. It communicates the future outcomes, benefits and what the business will look like down the road. I think about it this way. If I overheard a group of people talking about my business what would I want them to say? I’m all about helping families build a life of freedom without compromising the most important things. You know, helping people build a significant business without losing themselves, their health or family along the way.

How about you? What do you see ten years from now when your business is thriving? Get specific here and super descriptive.

Remember a healthy business has three components:

MONEY - a healthy, thriving business is profitable.

SOCIAL - a healthy, thriving business positively impacts it’s local and global community.

SPIRITUAL - a healthy, thriving business points people back to Jesus in all it does.

MISSION

Once you get your VISION down, it’s time to build your MISSION. A mission outlines the activity that has to consistently happen for your organization to succeed. It also distinguishes your company/organization from others and guides your day to day efforts that help to fulfill your purpose. Don’t over do it here. Be concise, realistic, and motivating.

VALUES

Next, it’s time to define your VALUES. Think of your values as your moral compass. The guardrails for your company when it comes to HOW you interact with your team members, partners, customers and vendors.

So, if you’re a believer and are striving to operate your business with God as your CEO, your values will mirror the Bible. Make sense?

Okay beautiful business builders, it’s your turn to get clear on your VISION, your MISSION and your VALUES. Take the time to get clear on each one and I promise it will save you time in the long run. Remember this is a long game not a short game and knowing where you’re going and what you’re building is a MASSIVE blessing to you and your organization.

One of my favorite bonuses about getting your VISION, MISSION and VALUES right is how each one will impact your ability to attract the RIGHT PEOPLE and more importantly REPEL the wrong ones to your business.

The only thing worse than not adding recruiting new partners when you need them is to add the wrong partners to your organization. Happy creating! I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
